A downloadable game for Windows

Inky Black is a real-time strategy game where you use sensor data to locate and defeat enemy spaceships from your own ship control room, bought to you by Dirty Plasma Productions. This debut game is about being trapped in a cockpit, constantly annoyed by a small robot, chased and shot at by flying enemies.

This game requires tactical thinking and thorough observation skills to make sure you don't miss anything ;)

How to play:

The player wakes up out of cryogenic sleep to the Space Information Distributor, also known as S.I.D. There is no time to lose as enemies are always on a take-down mission.

S.I.D walks the player through how to utilise the screen, how to shoot and how to move.

'A' and 'D' lets the player look left and right to the different screens.  (try looking backwards a few times for a surprise)

The Front Screen allows the player to move through space by clicking around the screen.

The Right Screen allows the player to see the ship's sensors and the area they cover, along with adjusting where they are positioned.

The Left Screen is for weapon's control, it allows you to see the ship's cannon direction and where to select a target for the missiles.

Players can click on buttons to switch cameras or fire weapons, as well as changing the direction of sensors and moving the ship around space to avoid damage, and destroy enemy ships.

Tap Esc/P to pause and resume.

GODMODE:

Tap once 'K' to win and 'L' to lose if you need to skip to the end (Adrian and Jeremy only)

Assets we used:

All the placeholder assets (excluding asteroid models and missile models) have since been replaced by versions we made ourselves.

Tragically, a small amount of code in two of the scripts was written by ChatGPT. We regret this.
